Baseball Season

It may be hard to believe, but baseball season is right around the corner. Practice starts on Monday, February 25th. Here are a few reminders.....

1. There is a work day at the field this Saturday the 23rd. If you or your parents can help, please come and help us prepare the field for the season. We will be putting up batting cage nets, mowing, and working on the field itself.

2. Make sure you have a physical on file with the school. This is required before you can practice. If you have already played another sport during this school year then you are already good to go.

3. Bring your glove and bat, and wear baseball pants and long sleeves. Also, bring clothes (shorts, t-shirt, gym shoes) to practice indoors if needed. We never know what the weather will do this time of year, so we might have to practice inside. Be prepared.

4. Practice starts at 2:50 every day. School lets out at 2:25, so this is plenty of time to get to the field, change clothes, and be ready to go. If you are late, you will be held responsible. (Hint: running)

5. Parents, our website is up and running. It is WillardBaseball.com. The site is still under construction, but the schedule is on there. We hope this is informative.
